Please join us, after a grab-and-go lunch, in the Sanctuary on Sunday, 25 October, from 12:30 to 2pm, for a celebration of the achievements resulting from the hard work and effort of our volunteers on the teams and committees.
We have many devoted volunteers in our congregation who have contributed to the richness and diversity of Vancouver Unitarians. This event is an opportunity to showcase the many ways that Vancouver Unitarians are working to support both our congregation and the wider community, as well as to celebrate their accomplishments. We also hope this provides an opportunity for newcomers (and maybe long timers too) to find meaningful connections at VanU.
This is a two-stage event. First, there will be introductory speeches followed by a representative from each team and committee giving a 2 to 3 minute presentation about what inspired or excited them to join, what they find fulfilling about being involved, what their group has accomplished, and what they envision for the future of their group.
The second stage is for attendees to talk with any groups they felt a connection with. To facilitate this stage, the Sanctuary seating will have been rearranged into a group for each of the teams and committees.
We hope to see you all there!
A celebration of what our volunteers have achieved on the teams and committees, in the Sanctuary after a grab and go lunch. A representative of each team and committee speaks briefly about what drew them in, what they find fulfilling, what the group has achieved and where it is going. Afterwards the seating is arranged by group, so that anyone who felt a connection can go and talk to them. Newcomers and long timers alike are very welcome.
